'Black Truffle' thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers partial shade to full sun gardens, a great choice for attracting pollinators along streams, in bogs, or in rain gardens. Like other cardinal flowers 'Black Truffle' is an absolute hummingbird magnet, with tubular, red flowers providing a rich source of nectar throughout the summer. Butterflies and bumblebees are also frequent visitors, drawn to the plant's abundant nectar.
